District Team Challenge

MISSION STATEMENT:

To provide a higher level of competition and training for those players that have demonstrated a higher level of accomplishment and passion

for the game, while encouraging and challenging other players in the league to aspire to this level. With member clubs sharing their talent,

players will have the opportunity to compete in the highest level tournaments in the country and abroad.

CONCEPT:

The idea is to create district teams from contiguous FASL clubs in age groups 11-14, 15/16, and 17/18. These teams will train monthly,

and play in a challenge format monthly throughout the year. Composite/hybrid teams from each age group will then be selected to compete

in high level competitions regionally, nationally and abroad.

GOALS:

1. To have a venue where players can aspire to a higher level of competition, while still playing with their club in the area they live in.          
2. To enter and win regional and national tournaments.
3. To showcase the players in the Tampa/St.Pete area as the best in the nation.
4. To grow and enhance FASL player’s abilities.
5. To be able to provide this infrastructure at little or NO COST to the player.
6. To be able to prove that coaches and admins who REALLY care about the growth of soccer and the personal growth of players can       be accomplished in an economical manner.

We at FASL are committed to the betterment of the game and development of players. Our mission is to make soccer open to all players and affordable as the world’s game.  Many of FASL‘s members have many years invested in Youth Soccer and have been leaders within the soccer community. They have a passion for both the game and the players.
